Xi 'an Metro is a city rail transit system serving Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province, China. Its first line (Xi 'an Metro Line 2) was opened for trial operation on September 16, 2011, making Xi 'an the 14th city in Chinese mainland and the first in Northwest China to have a metro system.
